Yes, it is mapped to the Mineral Processing Mobile and Static Plant Operator apprenticeship standard level 2. 

Operators are enrolled on a first come first serve basis and the Line Manager should inform their Training Manager or HR Manager of the desire to include their operator in the next cohort.

12 months. 

All operators whether new or experienced are able to complete the programme. However for those who have more in depth knowledge, we may not be able to draw down from the apprenticeship levy.  

You will have reached Gateway once you have:

• Attended and passed all of your workshops
• Completed all of your coursework
• Completed all 5 workbooks
• Achieved your Vocational Qualification
• Passed Level 1 English and Maths and at least worked towards and sat Level 2
• Updated your portfolio in Learning Assistant
• Had your 20% off the job hours have been met and approved

When this is all done, you have reached what is known as the Gateway, which is where you, your line manager and training manager will decide if you are ready to take the End Point Assessment (EPA).

The EPA takes place at your own site, an external End Point Assessor will come and conduct your EPA with you.

Your EPA will be made up of 3 sections:

• Multiple-choice question paper
• Practical observation
• Professional interview

The PODP costs £9,000 per person, which Tarmac can draw down from the apprenticeship levy.
