Centre for Mineral Products Professional Development

Tarmac has a partnership with the University of Derby to deliver professional development programmes to our staff. The aim of these programmes is to develop our future leaders by delivering industry standard and globally recognised qualifications:

  • Qualifications are delivered using blended learning, minimising the time spent away from work
  • Learners complete work based projects, meaning the learning applied in the work place straight away
  • The content of the qualifications is continually reviewed to ensure it reflects the needs of the industry

These programmes include:

  • Mineral Products Technician Higher Apprenticeships (Foundation Degree)
    • This includes four pathway suitable for A&A, Cement, Contracting and RMX businesses.
    • This is suitable for both existing staff and new staff coming into the business.
  • BSc (Hons) Mineral Management Degree
